Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) is one of the most colorful figures in the music world to this day. The Queen’s singer would have celebrated his 75th birthday on September 5th. Posted on Twitter the singer’s official accounts and the band a link to a birthday video. It shows, among other things, excerpts from old appearances and an interview as well as snapshots. “As if looking into Freddie’s eyes”
on his own Instagram account Queen guitarist Brian May (74) also spoke up and wished the singer all the best. He shared a clip of works by artist Nenu Arts, often referred to as Freddie Mercury used as a motif for his pictures. The picture at the end of the video is May’s favorite portrait of Mercury that the artist has created. “I feel like I’m looking into Freddie’s eyes,” explains the musician.
Queen drummer Roger Taylor (72) published on Instagram an old picture with Mercury. “Happy birthday, dearest old friend,” writes Taylor in the attached comment. The singer, who died in 1991, is “forever in our minds”.
