Free has just made some changes to the Booster option of the €2 plan. And if there is good in these changes, there is also bad. Explanations.
If Free Mobile is indeed promised not to increase the prices of the packages until 2027, this does not mean that the operator will not make certain changes to its offers. This is precisely the case with the €2 package.
As you may know, Free’s star offer allowed since September 20, 2022 activate the Booster option. Thanks to this option charged €2.99 per monththe user could therefore modify his initial plan to take advantage of unlimited calls and 1 GB of mobile data. In contrast, the operator claimed €10 for activation costs.
A requirement very badly perceived by subscribers, who have started to make it known on social networks. Faced with the discontent of users, the troublemaker of the internet has decided to modify its Booster option.
The Booster option of the 2 € package changes, not really for the better
The price remains the same, namely €2.99 per month, and theactivation fees are thrown away. Good news then… at first glance. Indeed and probably to compensate for the shortfall concerning the removal of activation fees, Free has reduced the mobile data envelope. From now on, the option offers 600 MB instead of the previously mentioned gigabyte.
Note that these 600 MB can also be used in Europe and the overseas departments (beyond, €0.05/MB), as are unlimited calls. The Booster option also remains non-binding. Remember that during the first confinement in March 2020, Free Mobile had increased the mobile data envelope of the €2 package to 1 GB. However, this operation was temporary and ended in April 2020.
As a reminder, Free recently announced that it intended to revolutionize payments by launching its own banking service. Called Stancer, this fintech could be similar to an online bank or a neobank, as Orange has been offering for several years with Orange Bank.
Or, it could be a payment solution between friends or between professionals, such as Lidya, Qoonto or Alma. For now, the operator has remained silent on this mysterious project, apart from the fact that it is scheduled to launch soon.
