Dragon’s Dogma 2 offers great freedom in exploring its open world. But some restrictions are not to everyone’s taste. Fortunately, there are solutions to this effect on PC.

Among the points that annoy players the most in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the fast travel system takes the top places on the list. On PC, it is possible to drastically improve it thanks to the efforts of the modding community.

Accelerated travel on Dragon’s Dogma 2

Before the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2, its director Hideaki Itsuno had a very strong opinion regarding fast travel in an open world. According to him, ” fast travel is boring if the open world itself is boring “. Exploration in the game is certainly satisfying, but journeys on foot that can easily last several hours are much less so. Beginners (which we were) have sometimes had the bitter experience of dying and having forgotten to have saved for a while…

Fortunately, the PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 can count on modders to improve the overall gaming experience. With its Teleportation mod, rthomasv3 drastically improves the fast travel system. As its name suggests, this allows you to teleport to many significant locations in the open world, without resorting to a Portacrystal or a Transstone. Cities and villages as well as major dungeons and even Quest Badge locations can be accessed in the blink of an eye. And this also makes certain microtransactions added at the launch of the game useless.

Modders to the rescue of the Insurgents

This is not the only notable mod created since the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2 four weeks ago. The PC version of the game takes full advantage of the efforts of this admirable community to offer a better experience. Whether it’s improving certain features or even performance, there are many particularly notable mods already present. We are also preparing a selection for you!

This is unfortunately not the case for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions. Lacking various graphics modes, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not in its best form on consoles. A patch aimed at blocking the framerate at 30 fps slightly improved overall stability, but clearly not fluidity. Let’s hope that Capcom will soon deploy updates that meet expectations on this point.
