On May 15, Stefan Raab’s “Free ESC” rises to ProSieben. The participating countries have now been determined.

In 2021 the “Free European Song Contest” will take place for the second time. Stefan Raab’s (54) ESC alternative rises to ProSieben on May 15. Now it is also clear which countries will start in the “Free ESC”. According to the broadcaster, Belgium, Germany, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Scotland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey – a total of 16 countries – will send artists into the race.

France, Slovenia, Belgium, Scotland and Greece are participating in the “Free ESC” for the first time. The show, which will run live on ProSieben and Joyn on May 15, 2021 at 8:15 p.m., will be moderated by Conchita Wurst (32) and Steven Gätjen (48). This means that the music competition takes place one week before the grand finale of the original ESC. Last year Nico Santos (28) won the “Free ESC” for Spain. It is not yet known which acts will take place in 2021 for the respective countries.
