You will soon be able to test Skull and Bones as a free game. Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for the pirate title that you can play with your friends.
- Skull and Bones will be available for free for a limited time starting December 15th.
- To do this, however, you must be selected for the closed beta.
- You then have until December 18th to test the title for six hours.

You can test the pirate role-playing game for free on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC until December 18th, provided you are selected for the test phase. During the test period you can play for a total of six hours.
This is how you take part in the beta
To participate in the closed beta, you need a Ubisoft Connect account, which you can use to sign up for Ubisoft’s Insider Program. If you are selected, you will receive an email to the email address stored in your Ubisoft account.
Alternatively, you can of course also hope that one of your friends will be selected for the test phase. In this case they can bring you into the beta. To participate this way, you also need a Ubisoft Connect account.

If you want to play on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S and Skull and Bones is a multiplayer title, you may need an active PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core subscription.
If you are one of those chosen for the beta, you can pre-download the pirate title from December 12th. However, keep in mind that Skull and Bones is only available in English during the test phase.
