As today’s app of the day we have selected a logic game for you. Do you still know the game in which you had to put small rectangles in a wooden box to encourage logical thinking as a toddler? Admittedly, this is a much simpler variant than Scalak, a logic game by Hamster on Coke that is available for free in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store today. We’ll show you what the game is all about!

The square comes in the square shape; the circle in the circular recess. Sounds simple at first – but in Scalak it isn’t necessarily. Your task is to place shapes in appropriate recesses so that the rectangles fill completely. Once you have solved the 3-D puzzle, you go straight to the next puzzle. The game is so much fun that I found it difficult to break away from it, otherwise I would probably keep trying to solve the puzzles myself while writing this news.
Is it worth downloading Scalak?
There are actually very many games of this type in the app stores. However, I have to admit that I’ve rarely had as much fun in a logic game as I did with Scalak. At the beginning there is no explanation, but that is not a problem, because the task is to fill small squares using drag & drop. You start with very simple tasks that are actually very reminiscent of the play of forms from kindergarten. But don’t worry, the level of difficulty increases rapidly after you’ve mastered the first five to six levels. The forms and tasks change again and again after a few levels. However, you will get a kind of “tutorial” beforehand in which you will learn what the innovations are all about. Whereby no text is used at all – don’t worry, that’s not necessary here either, thanks to the simple controls.

With logical thinking and a little imagination, the various puzzles are definitely manageable. Unfortunately, the game is limited to 90 puzzles, but you can always go back to previously solved levels by tapping on the little point in the top left corner. The game is always worthwhile, especially for in between. Due to the increasing difficulty and excitement of winning, you should be careful not to forget the time – this happens very quickly with Scalak.
Does Scalak respect your privacy?
You don’t need an account or internet for Scalak. Unfortunately, the data protection declaration in both app stores is not very detailed. Although they promise that no data will be collected, this is a different game from the developer. However, a check on Exodus shows that the app poses no danger. All you need is a tracker and authorization, and both are harmless.
There are no in-app purchases or advertising on both Google Play and the Apple version of the game. Since this is a slightly older game, there have unfortunately been no updates since 2019, but personally I haven’t noticed any errors or anything like that so far.
In summary, I can only recommend the game to you. It’s really fun and there is no danger. Especially as a little pastime during the lunch break, the logic game is really fun and really calls for the activation of the gray cells in one or the other level.
