Free Mobile offers all its subscribers access to VoLTE and VoWiFi, thus significantly improving call quality. These two services are accessible to all subscribers, whether in the Free package, the Serie Free plan or the 2 euro package. Here’s how to take advantage of it.
free mobile announced the activation of VoWiFi for all its subscribersallowing calls to be made via a WiFi network. This feature is especially useful in areas with weak cellular signal. VoWiFi is a technology that allows you to send calls and text messages over a WiFi network, providing a better connection. The VoWiFi service has been activated on the Free Mobile network since December 14.

In addition, Free is extending its service VoLTE. Already available to most subscribers, it allows 4G calls, offering better sound quality and a faster call connection. Additionally, making calls from the 4G network allows you to continue surfing during a call, which was not possible using the 2G and 3G networks.
The two services, VoLTE and VoWiFi, are complementary: they provide better connectivity. The first is more relevant on the go. The second is more practical in a fixed location, at home or at work in particular. VoWiFi is particularly useful for users residing in areas with limited cellular coverage or for those who frequently travel abroad.
How to activate VoWiFi at Free Mobile
Activation of VoLTE and VoWiFi services concerns all subscriberswhatever their package:
- Free 5G plan
- Free Series Package
- 2 euro package
It is very likely that with a compatible smartphone, both services will be activated automatically. If this is not the case, here is the procedure to follow:

- To enable VoLTE, simply enable cellular data in the smartphone settings. Note that activation is mandatory, even with the 2 euro package. This can lead to additional costs, as the data envelope is quite small.
