Residents of Guyana and the West Indies will finally be able to subscribe to a package with unlimited data and calls without breaking the bank.
Better late than never ! A few years late (three), Free Mobile finally arrives in Guyana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin. In Xavier Niel’s luggage, discover a Free Caribbean package which promises to be very attractive.
Free Caribbean: 9.99 euros for 120 GB, unlimited calls, SMS and MMS
Until now, for high-end offers with a lot of data, the inhabitants of Guyana and the French West Indies had to opt for Orange Caraïbe, SFR Caraïbe or Digicel packages billed at a high price. Without going into too much detail, these packages offer 100 or 120 GB as well as unlimited calls, SMS and MMS in the local area. Excluding the promotional offer and period, the first costs 69.99 euros per month with a 12-month commitment, and the other two, without commitment, are charged 65 euros per month.
In addition, Sosh markets less expensive packages, but with 40 or 10 GB of Internet billed respectively 24.99 and 14.99 euros. Wizzee, on the other hand, offers plans with unlimited calls at 15 euros (50 GB of data) and 20 euros (70 GB of data).
Faced with these proposals, Free Caraïbe now offers a plan with 120 GB data (3G/4G/4G+) and unlimited calls, SMS and MMS in the local area. Only, it costs up to six times less: 9.99 euros per month. This is not a promotional formula, and the price will remain unchanged, even after the first year. In addition, this Free Caribbean package is non-binding.

A formula at 2 euros per month
Free also plays the troublions on entry-level packages. The operator offers a formula at 2 euros per month with 2 hours of calls, unlimited SMS and MMS, and 50 MB in 4G/4G+. Again, no obligation.
This is the most accessible package on the market for the area. The Wizzee and Sosh Caraïbe packages start at 5 euros. They only allow 1 hour of calls, with on the other hand much more data: respectively 5 GB and 500 MB, and always unlimited SMS and MMS.
The least expensive Orange Caraïbe formula is billed at 9.99 euros per month (2 hours of calls, 100 MB, unlimited SMS and MMS), but remains conditional on a 12-month commitment. Digicel, for its part, offers 2 hours of calls, unlimited SMS and MMS, and 3 GB of Internet for 15 euros. SFR Caraïbe does not offer any plan without commitment under 20 euros per month (the SAPE 5 GB plan, without commitment, therefore authorizes 5 GB and 2 hours of calls as well as unlimited SMS and MMS).
