Less than a decade after its launch, the Freebox mini 4K bows out.
After being the first operator to offer a box running Android TV in France, Free has decided, once and for all, to part with its Freebox mini 4K.
End clap for the Freebox mini 4K
On March 10, 2015, Free expanded its internet offer by rolling out a box on the market that was certainly miniature but which was still 4K. Soberly named “Freebox mini 4K”, it had the particularity, beyond its size, to integrate within it the Android TV operating system. In addition, this offer was an entry-level solution that could perfectly correspond to more restricted budgets without leaving people eligible for fiber on the sidelines.
But unfortunately, as has been spotted by our colleagues fromFreebox Universe, the Freebox mini 4K seems to have completely disappeared from the French operator’s website. Indeed, it is no longer possible to carry out the eligibility test for the offer. The site also reminds us that the latter had already disappeared for the first time two years ago before suddenly reappearing some time later.
Be that as it may, the offer being no longer found, everything leads us to believe that the Freebox mini 4K has definitively (and discreetly) said goodbye to us…
