As a reminder, Freelancer a new single-player game mode for Hitman 3which therefore includes rogue-like elements, but also strategic planning and customized hideout management, while it will be a question of killing mafia bosses to unlock points of mastery.
The developer announces that this mode is “almost ready”, but some technical details still need to be worked out. That’s why a closed beta, titled HITMAN 3 Freelancer Closed Technical Test, will take place in November. Some players will be invited on Steam to join this technical test, where they will be able to try all the central new features of this new game mode. The idea is of course to find bugs and test server capacities, but also to show the final economy and Freelancer progression speed to the community.
The Freelancer mode will therefore be available for free for all owners of the original game and will land on January 26, 2023. Until then, IO Interactive will communicate again on October 27 to give more details on the imminent closed test, then in December before the final launch.
