A terrible affair. A 38-year-old man presented himself to the gendarmerie of Fréjus (Var), this Friday, January 7 at the end of the morning, with the head and the sex cut off of another man.
It was around 11:15 a.m. on Friday when the individual appeared in front of the gendarmes to confess the murder of another man, a friend of the alleged perpetrator, according to Var-Matin.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim would have been killed after a violent fight, following a still unknown private dispute, in the district of Villeneuve located in the commune of the Var.
In the bag that the alleged murderer had brought with him, the gendarmes discovered a decapitated head and the sex appearing to belong to the victim.
Also alerted, the police went to the home of the presumed deceased and discovered the rest of the body.
The suspect, already known to the police for small offenses, was arrested and then taken into custody at the Fréjus police station. He will have to undergo a psychiatric expertise in the coming days according to the Draguignan prosecutor’s office.
Dispatched there, the Toulon judicial police will take charge of the investigations related to this case.
