French aeronautics challenged to recruit 15,000 employees


The sector doubles its hiring in 2022. It is struggling to find the profiles it needs in certain trades.

Employment is picking up again in aeronautics, driven by Airbus production increases, new hydrogen plane projects, future air combat systems, flying taxis, drones and spacecraft. “We anticipate more than 15,000 recruitments within Gifas member companies (Grouping of French aerospace industries), half of which with subcontractors, i.e. twice as many as in 2021“, announces Philippe Dujaric, director of social affairs of Gifas.
