French box office: The Batman flies over the rankings


The Dark Knight thriller directed by Matt Reeves still tops the list, surpassing 1.8 million admissions in just two weeks.

New Batman directed by Matt Reeves, still dominates the French box office and exceeds 1.8 million cumulative admissions for its second week of operation, according to figures from CBO-Box Office.

The new opus of the adventures of the bat man crushes the ranking with some 635,000 admissions in one week (26% market share), ahead of Goliath , environmental thriller with Pierre Niney and Gilles Lelouche, by Frédéric Tellier. The director signs his second best start with more than 267,000 admissions in 502 theaters, after Save or perish in 2018 which brought together 339,000 spectators for its first week of operation.

In third place, comedy Retirement home by Thomas Gilou, where Kev Adams is the instigator of a great escape of residents ripped off by the owners of an nursing home, brought together 240,000 spectators for its fourth week of operation.

Another novelty, Building permita French comedy starring Didier Bourdon and directed by Eric Fraticelli, who is directing his first feature film, took fourth place in the rankings with 212,000 admissions.

the blockbuster, Uncharted inspired by a video game, still attracts nearly 200,000 spectators and exceeds 2 million admissions four weeks after its release.
