French Days – The Apple iPad Air 5 Touchscreen Tablet “5 stars” at €634.00

Unchanged since the end of 2020, the Apple iPad Air is finally renewed. This fifth generation takes up a lot of the old one, with a change in size: like the iPad Pro, it now incorporates the M1 chip designed by the Apple brand.

When the iPad Air 4 came out, we wondered if the 11-inch iPad Pro still had a place in Apple’s catalog. This question arises even more this year with the 5th generation of iPad Air. The Apple M1 chip alone is a strong argument when choosing a high-end tablet. And by integrating it into the Air range, Apple strikes a blow. Unless you swear by the 120 Hz brought by the ProMotion technology on the iPad Pro, this iPad Air 5 is therefore an excellent choice, even more so if you do not need more than 64 GB of storage.

• A slight evolution in photo.
• Constant autonomy.
• 5G compatibility.

Weak points

• Charging still just as slow.
• Oled or mini-Led would have been welcome.

Alternatively

The “e” in “essential” has never been worn so well. Samsung offers here a tablet that has all the weapons to establish itself as the best on the market. Helped by its Super Amoled screen, the photo as well as a template as thin as it is light, it serves as the perfect alternative to the iPad and other Android tablets. It even manages to supplant the excellent Galaxy Tab S4 for a much lower price.
