The Asus ROG Strix G15 G513QY Advantage Edition FHD 300 Hz laptop is under €1,700 at Darty.com, a drop of around 22% on the usual price. It is currently one of our best value for money.
The ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is the fruit of the association between AMD and Asus. It packs AMD’s highest performing processors and GPUs into a proven chassis. Let’s see if this association has paid off.
Asus ROG Strix G15 G513QY Advantage Edition
Asus has taken advantage of its know-how on laptops gaming to offer a ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition almost flawless, except for the notable absence of a webcam. Its cooling system is efficient, but it also knows how to be discreet in performance mode. AMD’s Radeon RX 6800M is positioned between the GeForce RTX 3070 and the RTX 3080 with however higher consumption due to its TGP. We also regret the performance in raytracing of the GPU and the weakness of the ecosystem compared to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX.
Strong points
- Autonomy.
- CPU performance.
- Controlled cooling.

Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 15 (Core i7)
Introductory price 1599 €
The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 15 ticks almost all the boxes: its impressive chassis makes no compromises, whether on performance or autonomy, and the screen is very well made, with faithful colors and an effective anti-reflective treatment . We simply regret the definition of the panel lower than that of the best laptops on this point.
