Oppo renews its A series positioned on the entry-level market. With its A77, the Chinese manufacturer is trying to find a place in the disputed segment of smartphones around 300 €.
The Oppo A77 is a fairly convincing smartphone, which relies above all on its great autonomy to distinguish itself. It has a fairly efficient chip and its main photo sensor does quite well during the day. But in its price segment, some smartphones offer Oled panels, chipsets more efficient, and/or greater versatility in photography. It is therefore primarily aimed at those looking for an affordable and very (very) durable device.
Strong points
- Enormous autonomy.
- Main photo module rather effective during the day.
- Satisfactory performance in multitasking.
- 3.5 mm mini-jack socket and microSD drawer.
Weak points
- Poorly calibrated LCD screen.
- Night photos always laborious.
- A SoC not really cut out for gaming.

Entry-level smartphones often struggle to provide satisfactory photos, and that’s where the main problem lies with the Samsung Galaxy A04s. The device does not lack assets, however, since it has a display that can certainly be improved, but whose 90 Hz refresh rate we appreciate, is capable of running common games in good conditions and offers good autonomy. In short, it allows those reassured by the Samsung label to access it at a lower cost, at the cost of a few multimedia compromises.
