Impressive ! This is how we could describe this mid-range TCL television. The Mini-Led backlighting system is impressive and allows you to display a peak of brightness previously reserved for much more expensive models. The HDR rendering is impactful, but this TV just misses the fifth star. It must be said that the best televisions no longer have defects, unlike this 55C845 – 55-inch version of the TCL 65C845 that we tested – which retains fairly narrow viewing angles. For the rest, this model will be perfect for all uses, films, video games and television. It will particularly appeal to those whose living room is bathed in light.

2023 is definitely a year of choice for televisions. Manufacturers are going all out on Mini-Led backlighting technology, which is finally becoming popular. The Hisense 55U8KQ — the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the Hisense 65U8KQ that we tested — thus stands out as an excellent quality/size ratio, especially on this 65-inch diagonal. It displays a perfectly calibrated image and striking HDR rendering at this price level. It is recommended for all uses and only very high-end televisions (QD-Oled or Oled Meta) really manage to do better.
