Performance
The WD Black SN750 SE – here tested in the 500 GB version – is a PCIe 4.0 SSD. Its performance is modest in terms of performance, but it is counterbalanced by very good thermal management which gives it good flow resistance over time; a good point for use in a PC gaming or in a Sony PS5 console – then you have to add a third-party heat sink to it.
Strong points
- Good performance.
- Thermal management.
- Fairly large SLC cache.
- Simple and complete Dashboard software.
- 5 year warranty.
Weak points
- Not very fast for a PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Performance
The WD Black SN750 is an excellent SSD, like the SN700 model which it replaces and from which it incorporates all the components. Releasing a carbon copy under the guise of software optimization is always a bit of a shame, but that does not detract from the intrinsic qualities of this model: high speeds, efficient thermal management, endurance and warranty remain still and always on top.
