French InterCloud raises €100 mlns – 02/15/2022 at 10:06

Feb 15 (Reuters) – InterCloud announced on Tuesday that it has raised 100 million euros led by investment fund Aleph Capital in a bid to expand internationally.

The French company, which offers companies to simplify access to their resources hosted in the “cloud”, said that this new funding round will allow it to develop its sales team internationally, starting with Europe, with the recruitment of around fifty people this year.

It also intends to use this new funding for research and development, to strengthen its partnerships and for acquisitions.

Founded in 2010, InterCloud has partnerships with cloud service providers such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services AMZN.O and Google Cloud GOOGL.O.

The Ventech and Open CNP funds, historical investors of InterCloud, also participated in this latest funding round, the company said.

It had already raised 38 million euros during previous financing rounds in which Orange Digital Ventures – now Orange Ventures – and bpifrance had taken part, among others.
