Do you like to keep your hair closed? Then this trend hairstyle is just right for you! The French twist is a wonderful alternative to the bun and is so quick and easy.

From Melanie Wenzke

French bun, hair banana or twisted chignon: this hairstyle has many names, but it always means the same thing. Whether on social media or the red carpet: This hairstyle has captured our hearts! And that's how easy it is to imitate them at home.

French twist: wrapped around the finger

First, comb all of your hair back and gather it together as if you were tying it up in a ponytail. Reach under the braid from above with your index finger and wrap the hair around it. Now turn your lengths around your finger and secure everything with a large hair clip.

The best: The hairstyle trend also works with short hair! To do this, first divide the back of your head into two parts. It is best to first secure the upper part with an elastic band. Now the first thing you do is just twist in the lower hair and secure it with hair pins. Do the same with the upper part and connect the two parts so that no transition can be seen.

You can style the trend hairstyle either strictly or messy. It also looks cool when you let a few strands of hair hang out at the front.
