“Guten Morgen Deutschland” will soon be rebranded. The new team includes Annika Lau and Marco Schreyl.

It won’t be long before “Guten Morgen Deutschland” will be history. RTL has announced that it will rebrand the format. In the spring, the broadcaster will turn the early magazine into “Point 6”, “Point 7” and “Point 8”. A fresh team of moderators will be presented from a new studio through the programs (also on RTL+) to lead.

In addition to Marco Schreyl (48) and Annett Möller (43), the permanent group of moderators also includes Annika Lau (42), Daniela Will, Simon Beeck (41) and Daniel Fischer (45). Angela Finger-Erben (42) and Maurice Gajda (38) will continue to work for RTL News. Finger-Erben is also already shooting a fresh format for the broadcasting group, as RTL explains further. Meanwhile, Roberta Bieling (47) will concentrate on presenting “Point 12” and other programs such as specials in the future.

“Entertaining and heartfelt”

“The new program offers the perfect start for the morning – with the developments of the night and the most important reports of the day,” explains Martin Gradl, Editor-in-Chief Magazine at RTL News, in a statement. The broadcaster wanted to show that it was up-to-date, relevant and reliable. At the same time, one is building on the fact that the format will be “entertaining and heartfelt”, “so that the viewers can start the day in a good mood”.

In the past few days, RTL had already announced that Wolfram Kons (57) would no longer moderate “Guten Morgen Deutschland” in the future. The broadcaster also explained that the “Love Island” voice Simon Beeck was new on board and would be used on the show for the first time on March 9th.
