Freshly roasted every day: producer Stefan Raab does not pull back in front of the camera

The late night show "Freshly Roasted Daily" is produced by Stefan Raab. But the entertainer is not drawn back in front of the camera.

On November 16, the first episode of the new late night show "Freshly Roasted Daily" will be shown on the TVNow streaming service. The basic principle: In each issue, a different celebrity will host the late-night show through the evening and will be rated for it by another well-known face. The show is produced by entertainer Stefan Raab (54), who revealed in an interview before the start what characterizes the format and whether he could imagine stepping in front of the camera again.

"Can be painful, but very amusing"

"The idea came to me," explains Raab in an interview with RTL. And the answer to the question of who should lead through the show was: "You will see, first of all. Everyone can lead through the show, they just have to be able to cope with the fact that they are given their opinion directly by the roaster. Can painful, but very amusing, "the 54-year-old continued.

Raab doesn't want to lead through a show himself again. "After seeing Ralf Moeller at the rehearsal, I would just drop off," said the former "TV total" presenter. Actor Ralf Moeller (62) is the first host and is rated in the opening show by comedian Olaf Schubert (53).

The audience can look forward to it

Raab did not want to reveal too much yet. But the audience could look forward to a very funny show, or as one would say in times of Corona: "The R-value of the jokes is in the critical range and a vaccine is not in sight." If he would like to "roast" himself, Raab clearly answers: "Karl Lauterbach." Just like the question of whom he would like to be "roasted" by himself: "Karl Lauterbach." An invitation to the SPD politician is already out, so Raab.

Other celebrities who have already been announced are ex-soccer manager Reiner Calmund (71), comedian Michael Mittermeier (54), choreographer Jorge González (53), presenter Kai Pflaume (53), trash TV star Evelyn Burdecki (32), presenter Nazan Eckes (44) and the former world-class kicker Mario Basler (51) also participate. For ex-jungle queen Evelyn Burdecki there is also an extra section in the show: "Burdeckipedia". The queen of general knowledge, for example, philosophizes about who St. Martin was.
