The "Friends" reunion seems to be within reach. Series star David Schwimmer has now revealed that it will be "in just over a month".

What is taking a long time now seems to be good at last: The "Friends" reunion, long awaited by fans, could soon be completed. Actor David Schwimmer (54) leaked this on SiriusXM's "Radio Andy" show. As he revealed to presenter Andy Cohen (52), he will travel to Los Angeles "in just over a month". It would "happen" there.

"We finally found a way to film it safely," said Schwimmer of the special. He also revealed that parts of the filming would take place "outside for safety reasons". There is also a moderator. However, the actor did not want to reveal his name. Only this much can be revealed at this point: "It's neither Ellen DeGeneres nor Billy Crystal."

Lisa Kudrow: broadcast "early spring"

It is still unclear when the "Friends" special will ultimately be shown on the streaming service HBO Max. Schwimmer's co-star Lisa Kudrow (57) said in January of this year that it would be "early spring". In the podcast "Literally! With Rob Lowe" she even revealed that a few scenes with all six main actors of the series are already in the can. "We have already shot different things," were her words at the time.

The "Friends" reunion was originally planned to be broadcast in May 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, there were repeated postponements. There should be no script for the clash between Schwimmer, Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston (52), Courteney Cox (56), Matt LeBlanc (53) and Matthew Perry (51). Also, they will not appear in their series roles, but as themselves. The stars should wallow in memories together, review their time on the set and share old anecdotes and personal highlights.
