Lisa Kudrow looks back on the “Friends” reunion on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show and surprises with a confession.

It was one of the highlights of the big “Friends” reunion that aired on May 27th: Lisa Kudrow’s (57) duet with pop star Lady Gaga (35). The two performed the cult song “Smelly Cat” together, which Kudrow had regularly performed in her role as Phoebe Buffay.

She had to learn the chords again

“It was really great,” enthuses Kudrow on Friday’s “Ellen De Generes Show”, as can be seen in a preview clip. But for the duet, the actress had to practice a lot in advance. “I grabbed my guitar and realized that I had forgotten the chords,” the 57-year-old recalls.

Fortunately, the internet was able to help her: “I googled it and all the chords from ‘Smelly Cat’ were there. Thank you world for posting the chords,” laughs Kudrow on the show. But even during the performance, the actress apparently struggled. “My throat was constricted, I was so panicked and couldn’t make a sound. But I got it.”

The cult series “Friends” ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004. 17 years after its end came the main actors Kudrow, Courteney Cox (56), Jennifer Aniston (52), David Schwimmer (54), Matthew Perry (51) and Matt LeBlanc (53) together again last Thursday for the 105-minute special. In addition to Lady Gaga, stars such as Justin Bieber (27), Cara Delevingne (28) and David Beckham (46) could be seen.
