The long-awaited “Friends” reunion is in the can. It was apparently filmed on original locations from the cult sitcom.
The eagerly awaited reunion of the actors from the cult sitcom “Friends” has recently been shot. According to the gossip portal “TMZ” The six original actors Jennifer Aniston (52, “The Morning Show”), David Schwimmer (54), Courteney Cox (56), Matt LeBlanc (53), Lisa Kudrow (57) and Matthew Perry (51) met at very special places – for example in front of the fountain from the iconic opening credits and on the old series stage.
Sources from production circles are said to have revealed that the special of the streaming service HBO Max was filmed within three days on the premises of the Warner Brothers studios – with a live audience. However, these are said to have been committed extras who tested negative for the corona virus in advance.
A photo that “TMZ” was able to get hold of shows structures around the famous fountain that can be seen in the “Friends” opening credits. In addition, the reunification is said to have been staged in part on the same stage on which scenes from the sitcom were filmed for years.
“Friends” actors and series inventors remembered
In the special reunion episode, the “Friends” original cast together with the show creators Marta Kauffman (64) and David Crane (63) will remember the popular series and review their time on the set. The reunification should actually take place in March of last year. However, due to the corona pandemic, the shooting had to be postponed several times.
Last Sunday (April 11th) the makers announced officially known on Instagramthat the special is in the box. When it will be seen, however, has not yet been officially determined. However, it is expected for around a year after the originally planned date – May 27, 2020.
