The first time you may have heard of Isabelle Fabre was because she almost got eaten by a shark. It was in January 2017, in Australia. Isabelle then published a video of this attack. A video that changed his life and his way of life.
A sticky trip that changed his life
Back a few years before the attack. Isabelle Fabre is a young engineer who doesn’t like her job. She decides overnight to drop everything to go live in Australia.
“After a few years as an engineer in a big box in the south of France, I realized that I wasn’t made to stay behind a desk. So I went to Australia, alone, to find a purpose in my life. And… it was the hardest time of my life.”
She explains:As soon as I arrived, I had all my things stolen. A few days later, I step on a poisonous fish and go to the hospital. Finally, I had an eye problem that forced me to be hospitalized again”.
Many galleys that are not yet over. “My last tile in Australia is the one that allowed me to make myself known. » In Australia, Isabelle discovers a passion for kitesurfing. And as her stay comes to an end, she decides to go do some on an Australian beach with her boyfriend.

“A white shark charged me from below while I was kitesurfing. It was a huge 5 meter shark. He was bigger than my board. By the time I spotted it, there was no wind to get back to shore quickly. I really thought I was going to die. It was all the more difficult for my boyfriend at the time who was filming me with a drone and who saw this 5-meter shark appear live next to me. »
However, Isabelle manages to return to the beach, trembling, but safe and sound. She understands very quickly that these images can create a craze.
“I edited a video that was taken over by Australian and French television channels. This video really marked the beginning for me. I was able to make contacts very quickly, get into local television in France as a travel columnist”.

Assume his passion for sport and travel
Back in France, Isabelle tries for a while to return to a more calm life. “When I returned to France, I had a skills assessment. I had an engineering degree and I was ashamed vis-à-vis my parents and my relatives for not continuing on this path. I looked for myself and even applied again for an engineering position. When they told me they had no showers on their premises, I refused to sign. That meant I couldn’t exercise between noon and two. »
Isabelle is barely 30 years old and wonders what she will do. What will launch her is a Facebook group that she created on her return to France, Trail between They. “Trail entre Elles is a Facebook group for women who want to run in the mountains. That’s really what motivated me to start my own business. The girls asked me to set up workshops so that they could meet. So I set up my box and I started ».
Since then, Isabelle has devoted herself to travels and internships with sports enthusiasts and illustrates her adventures on Instagram, Tiktok, but also Facebook. “My theme is traveling around sport. I propose each time to discover a destination differently. »
A smartphone more and more suitable for athletes
She has been using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for a few months for her various posts. “You have to show the possibilities of the smartphone to make people want to do the same thing. In fact, everyone has a smartphone, but you have to show them how to use it and have the right ideas”.
For Isabelle, all her activities are good for illustrating the possibilities of the Samsung Galaxy S21. “I was really impressed with the zoom capability of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But what I like the most is the Action Cam mode, which allows you to compensate for movements when taking a video. When you like sport, it helps to avoid cluttering up with additional equipment, it’s really practical,” she says smiling.
And when asked what would be the dream feature she would want on a smartphone, she hesitates a bit. “I have never broken a single smartphone in my life. Neither broken nor drowned, I’m really careful. But if I was offered a completely waterproof, salt-resistant and floating smartphone, then yes, I would take it without hesitation”.

And for inspiration then? “Today I often go looking for inspiration on TikTok. My three favorite accounts are Kevin Parry (for his amazing special effects), SuperMassive (for the creative use of music) and Kyle Nutt (for his work on transitions). »
“On Tiktok it’s quite easy to break through », explains Isabelle. “I started on Tiktok and in a few months I managed to gather 150,000 subscribers. The key is to take inspiration from what works, taking care to put your own stamp on it”. She clarifies:we have to do things that we please and above all to ensure that this content can be created over time ».
