From February 1st – change in tariffs for car electricity

8,000 have a car electricity contract
Around 8,000 Carinthians currently have a car electricity contract with Kelag. “Practice shows that many customers mainly charge their vehicles at home or at work and only occasionally use a public charging station,” says Alexander Jordan, head of sales at Kelag. On this basis and with a consumption of 20 kWh of electricity per 100 km, energy costs amount to €6.98 (for customers with a Kelag electricity supply contract for households or businesses) or €7.31 (for customers without a Kelag electricity supply contract for households or business). For comparison: the energy costs for a car with a combustion engine that consumes 7.5 liters of gasoline for 100 km are around €11.17, calculates Kelag.
