Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra keep on growing. A famous leaker has just communicated the dimensions of the smartphone, which should look a lot like the previous one.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra has become one of the best premium smartphones this year, but its successor is already being emulated. And according to the latest information from the famous leaker Ice Universewe should not expect significant changes in terms of design.
According to him, the new model will display dimensions of 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm. For comparison, those of the Galaxy S22 Ultra were 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm. We can also expect a similar weight. The South Korean giant should thus keep its imposing one-piece format, capable of accommodating the S-Pen, to the chagrin of the smallest hands. The only visual change could come from the arrangement of the photo sensors on the back.
The size of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is almost unchanged from that of the S22 Ultra, with only an increase of 0.1~0.2mm, 5000mAh, 8.9mm thickness, and still a 6.8-inch 3088×1440 screen.
As long as the Snapdragon 8Gen2 + One UI 5.1 is excellent, the appearance can remain the same.— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) August 21, 2022
The smartphone should once again be equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel, capable of displaying 1440 x 3088 pixels. There will also be a 5000 mAh battery.
The same, but different?
Among the expected changes, Ice Universe mentions the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Used in conjunction with the new One UI 5.1 overlay, it would benefit from better autonomy and take better advantage of Android 13.
In photo, the smartphone could accommodate a 200 megapixel Isocell HP2 sensor. Designed in-house by Samsung, it would replace the 108-megapixel one we currently find, and which has proven to be convincing. The rest of the sensors would have the same focal lengths as on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but it is not known if their respective sizes will change.
It is rumored that Samsung is going to use Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanning technology for the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It is the same sensor used in phones like vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro, which has a huge scanning area and it can scan a finger very rapidly. pic.twitter.com/EUGp1olThC

Other rumors also evoke the presence of a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor signed Qualcomm. It could be the same one we tested with the Vivo X80. This would be excellent news, as the latter convinced us.
Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. But if they were proven, we could expect interesting changes, in the absence of a new design.
