From Love, Glory and Beauty to Superman? This surprising actor to play the DC superhero at James Gunn

Interpreter of Thomas Forrester in 280 episodes of “Love, glory and beauty”, and also seen in the series “Supergirl”, Pierson Fodé would be one of the actors in the running for the role of the Man of Steel in the “Superman Legacy” by James Gunn.

Superman is not the anagram of soap opera. But Pierson Fodé intends to link the two on his CV.

Seen in 280 episodes of Love, Glory and Beauty in the guise of Thomas Forrester, between 2015 and 2018, the American actor would have sent a video made by him to participate in the casting of the next DC feature film devoted to the Man of ‘Steel, according to variety.

Increasingly widespread (Pierre Niney had admitted to having played the game when Ridley Scott was preparing Alone on Mars), this method consists, in a way, of knocking on the door of the studio. And thus opposes the tests made by actors and actresses summoned by the production and which, on paper, potentially interest the director.

Pierson Fodé’s video would contain images of his childhood on a farm in Moses Lake, a town in Washington State. And James Gunn would have liked what he saw, although no official comment has been made on it.

It is therefore unclear whether the comedian will join Jacob Elordi, David Corenswet, Andrew Richardson and Nicholas Hoult (also mentioned for Lex Luthor according to some sources) among the candidates for the main role of Superman Legacy.

If Pierson Fodé were to be the lucky one and the star of the film expected on July 9, 2025 in France, his fate would be reminiscent of that of Sasha Calle. Because the actress had revealed herself in The Young and the Restless (273 episodes between 2018 and 2021) before becoming the Supergirl that we will discover in The Flash, from June 14 in French theaters.

The cousin of Superman to whom Pierson Fodé is no stranger, he who had participated in an episode of the series Supergirl (the fifteenth of season 5).

Story without a sequel or first step towards one of the most iconic roles in the DC universe in cinema? The answer is obviously eagerly awaited, and one wonders if it will not intervene during Comic-Con in San Diego, at the end of July.
