From MatePadPaper to Soundjoy: Huawei’s new “super devices” at a glance

The Chinese manufacturer Huawei presented a total of seven new products at its press conference on the occasion of the MWC 2022. A new mobile phone was not included, but there are a few exciting innovations. We present them to you below in an overview.

Huawei MatePad Paper

With the MatePad Paper, Huawei presents a tablet with an e-ink display. Not only can it function as an e-book reader, but in combination with the M-Pencil stylus it can also be used as a tablet for writing and drawing. Cost point: 499 euros.

A market launch in Germany is not planned for the time being. If you are interested, you have to import the device from other European countries.

Huawei MateBook E

The MateBook E, on the other hand, will appear in Germany. The Windows 11 tablet can be quickly and easily transformed into a laptop thanks to a detachable keyboard.

The concept is reminiscent of the Microsoft Surface Pro. With a recommended retail price of 649 euros, the Huawei MateBook E is significantly cheaper.

Huawei MateBook X Pro (2022)

The latest irritation from Huawei’s premium laptop offers a larger display. The display of the MateBook X Pro in the 2022 version has grown from 13.9 to 14.2 inches. In addition, the touchpad now supports other gestures, some of which you already know from the manufacturer’s cell phones.

Here’s how you can take a screenshot with your knuckle. For the MateBook X Pro, the Chinese manufacturer calls a price of 1,899 euros, whether the device will also appear in Germany is still open.

Huawei MateStation X

With the MateStation X, Huawei is also showing an all-in-one PC at the MWC 2022. It measures 28.2 inches and is equipped with a 4K touchscreen. Under the hood is an AMD Ryzen 5 processor and 16 gigabytes of RAM. Operating system is Windows 11.

Huawei calls a price of 2,199 euros for the MateStation X. A start in Germany is still uncertain.

Huawei MatePad (2022)

Huawei also has a new irritation at the MWC in its luggage from its MatePad tablet PC. The 10.1-inch device is equipped with a 2K display in the 2022 version, on which up to four apps can be displayed in parallel. The new MatePad is available from 279 euros.

Huawei PixLab X1

The Huawei PixLab X1 is a printer that can be connected to Huawei devices particularly quickly. The multifunction device can act as a scanner and copier at the same time. In addition, Huawei promises easy changing of the toner with a special pulling mechanism. The price: 329 euros.

Huawei Soundjoy

Last but not least, the Chinese manufacturer also announces a new Bluetooth speaker, the Huawei Soundjoy. Thanks to its 8,800 mAh battery, it should be able to play music for up to 26 hours. The battery can also be charged comparatively quickly with 40 watts. The speaker should be available for 149 euros.

All devices presented by Huawei at the MWC support the manufacturer’s super device concept, which promises easy cross-device work.
