Bob Marley will be the subject of a biopic, and the American site Deadline reveals the name of the actor who was cast in the lead role.
This is Kingsley Ben-Adir, actor well known to fans of the series Peaky Blinders or The OA. Recently we also saw him in One Night in Miami on Prime Video. He is also expected as the main villain of Secret Invasion, the new series from Marvel studios which will bring together Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn.

We still know little about this biopic project. It is set to look back on the singer’s life until his death in 1981, with Bob Marley’s widow, Rita Marley, and two of her children, Ziggy and Cedella Marley, producing. Which suggests that it will be an authorized biopic, validated by relatives.
The film will be directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (The Williams Method) and produced by Paramount Pictures.
No shooting date announced. Remember that the reggae icon Bob Marley had already been the subject, among others, of a fascinating documentary, directed by Kevin MacDonald, simply named Marley.
