From social networks to court: the trial of the cyberstalkers of influencer agent Magali Berdah opens this week

Nearly thirty people will appear in court starting this Monday for cyberharassing Magali Berdah.

Magali Berdah has been under fire since 2022. She is accused of having committed numerous embezzlements at the head of her influencer agency Shauna Events. Result, judicial investigations, and above all a very violent clash with the rapper Booba. Clash which led to numerous reactions from Internet users, some of which unfortunately crossed the limits of legality, leading in return to a reaction from the justice system.

3 trials and 28 defendants

This is a major case which begins to go before the courts this Monday, November 27. Because the cyberharassment against Magali Berdah will be judged during three trials, the consequences of three different waves of arrests carried out by the National Center for the Fight against Online Hate (PHLN).

In total, 28 people will be tried. Thirteen will be this Monday, November 27 and Tuesday, November 28, then the following week, Monday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 5. A second trial will take place on December 11 and 12, dedicated to eight defendants, when a third will be organized on January 24, 29 and 30 for the remaining seven people.

The Booba file treated separately

The incriminated individuals, whose age ranges between 20 and 49 years, possess, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, ” varied profiles. » Some have no criminal record while others are particularly known to the police. If they are all prosecuted for cyberharassment, four are also “ because of true or supposed affiliation with a religion. » Likewise, ten defendants will have to respond in the same case to the charge of threatening to commit a crime. Finally, ten were prosecuted for threatening to kill.

Booba for his part does not appear in the dock. If he was indicted on October 2 by the police, following the complaint filed by Magali Berdah, the rapper will have to appear before the judge later. But his name should resonate during the exchanges, harassers judged having posted the hashtag #LaPiraterie in their messages, in reference to the name of the community of Booba fans. The latter has always defended himself from this accusation, summarizing his action to a single object: “ denounce influencers. »
