11 bit studios took advantage of the PC Gaming Show to show new images of Frostpunk 2. It’s quite light, but that shouldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the most impatient.
Next year also promises to be busy with outings. While developers and publishers undoubtedly still have a few secret titles up their sleeves, certain games are already doing well. You only need to take a look at Steam to see that players are impatiently awaiting several productions. In fifth place in the ranking of the most anticipated titles on the platform, a certain Frostpunk 2. Not surprising given the success of the first episode and its sequel took advantage of the PC Gaming Show at the end of the year to give its news.
A preview of Frostpunk 2, but not too much
This was an announcement particularly awaited by the community. Since its announcement, Frostpunk 2 has been rather discreet, despite some images which have not failed to ignite fans. Some media, including our national Camille, were also able to try the beast and the feedback was unanimously positive. Now, it’s the turn of the general public to be able to discover a small preview of the game and “its gameplay”. Unfortunately, we will have to make do with a few images that show almost nothing, with 11 bit studios promising a denser presentation soon. However, this gives a brief overview of the City, which has changed a lot since the first episode, particularly in terms of scale. However, the game will not abandon its evolving narrative anchored in the post-apocalyptic atmosphere which had the salt of its predecessor.
11 bit studios sees things bigger, but the very essence of Frostpunk remains unchanged. An icy atmosphere, political and social conflicts, factions that will have different points of view that will have to be managed and much more. If it should not revolutionize its concept, it presents itself as a great development. Our first handling suggested increased complexity, thanks to more difficult to resolve events and more advanced community management. Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer to see more. Frostpunk 2 is still planned for sometime in 2024, on PC only.
