An increase in frozen potato prices is expected soon. Manufacturers have to face a problem of supply of sunflower oil because of the war in Ukraine.
The phenomenon has lasted for several months. If no shortage affects the sector, frozen potatoes are still more difficult to find in supermarkets. This is what the magazine says 60Million consumers, Tuesday 2 August. At issue: the problems experienced by manufacturers to source sunflower oil because of the war in Ukraine.
An impact on prices is expected even though frozen potatoes have seen their sales increase for a year.
Dirty pies and crisps concern
Sunflower oil is essential for these industrial recipes. But it has become rarer.
