Frozen: hit pause at 9 minutes and 25 seconds, and look at the top of that shelf!

Like all Disney feature films that came out in the 2010s, Frozen, the studio’s 53rd classic directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, is a veritable gold mine of little winks.

If you take out your magnifying glass to examine it in a little more detail, you will be able to find, for example, a reference to Mary Poppins, a cameo of Princess Rapunzel at Elsa’s coronation and a plate of treats in the colors of Wreck-It Ralph.

But the easter egg that will interest us here concerns another character (much more famous) from the Disney universe: the studio mascot, Mickey Mouse.

To hope to see it, you will have to pause the film at 9 minutes and 25 seconds exactly, in the middle of the song I would like a snowmanplayed by Anna at the beginning of the feature film.

As the little princess waits for her sister watching the hands of a large clock, freeze the picture and – if possible – try to increase the brightness of your screen (otherwise you may not be able to distinguish the key detail): at the top left, on the last shelf of the large library, there is indeed a small doll with the effigy of the famous mouse.

Moreover, it is not the only Mickey hidden in the film: a little later, at 36 minutes and 38 seconds, when Anna is looking for winter clothes in the Oaken shop, we can indeed see the mouse again among the items on display on another shelf.

The fact of hiding Mickeys everywhere in the Disney classics is also a very old tradition of the studio. For many years – sometimes using an excess of imagination, it must be admitted – some fans spot (or think they spot) here and there, three circles evoking the face of the Disney mascot. On the back of a wooden chair in Pinocchio, among soap bubbles in Cendrillon, or even on the rosettes of the cathedral, in The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
