FTX allows you to create NFT yourself

Things are going well for the FTX crypto exchange this year. Now investors can also buy and create NFT at FTX.

On September 6th, Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of the FTX crypto exchange, tweeted that it would be possible to create your own NFT on the exchange from now on. This innovation is no coincidence. Because NFT are currently booming more strongly than ever before. And there is no end in sight. Because the incredible price increases and the media attention attract more and more investors to the market. It looked like DeFi tokens were going to become the hottest iron in this year’s crypto furnace. But now the NFT industry is attracting more and more the spotlight. The US crypto exchange FTX has apparently recognized this and developed the new service accordingly. Especially NFT fans and FTX users should be happy about this news.

Fish NFT Spam

The demand for the new NFT function was apparently great. At least Sam Bankman-Fried announced on Twitter that, among other things, a flood of digital works of art flooded the FTX exchange. It was often the same picture of a fish – so spam. Friedman then announced via Twitter knownto introduce a flat fee for the creation of NFT in order to prevent spam postings of this kind in the future:

Now it costs a flat $ 10 per NFT to mint them with no upfront cost. We will refund all 500 paid. Hopefully this will reduce (fish-related) spam while making it affordable.

Insight into the NFT collection

The FTX crypto exchange offers various NFT works of art for sale on its website. Prices range from as little as US dollars to several million.

That above shown Image is an example of the NFT collection on offer and was created by Kim Jung-soo and bears the sonorous name: “Azelia”. In the description of the picture it says:

Kim is considered the contemporary artist who can best express Korean feelings such as affection or nostalgia. He is famous for his unique collection of oil paintings that feature azaleas. These are pink flowers from the heather family, which have a special cultural meaning in Korea, as they are used in many songs and poems as a symbol of permanence and immutability.

The price is also going to be rosy: you have to pay $ 777,777 for this NFT work of art.

FTX exchange expands

Meanwhile, business is going well for FTX. It wasn’t until August 31 that the crypto exchange announced it had acquired LedgerX – a provider of crypto options and futures. In addition, the crypto exchange lines up an ever longer and more prestigious line of partnerships behind it. Among other things, she was able to win the seven-time Super Bowl winner, Tom Brady, for a cooperation.
