Fuel bonus, energy voucher, wood or fuel oil… There are several forms of aid available this winter to deal with soaring energy prices. MoneyVox helps you see clearly.

Driven by soaring energy prices, inflation should reach 5.2% for the whole of 2022, according to INSEE. In this context, the government has put in place a series of aids to relieve the portfolio of households. Who can benefit from it, from when and for what amount? Here are the details.

Fuel Bonus

From January 16, 2023, 10 million workers on the lowest incomes will be able to apply for aid in the amount of 100 euros to reduce their fuel expenses. Indeed, December 31 will mark the end of the rebate on the liter of gasoline granted by the government (and TotalEnergies) since April 2022. According to the government, this new aid represents a discount of around 10 centimes per liter to the pump for someone who travels 12,000 kilometers a year.

To get it you will have to go on the impots.gouv.fr website with their tax number, license plate and sworn statement. You will have to indicate that you need your car to go to work. Then, the check for 100 euros will be paid in one go to the bank account of the people who made the request.

The aid will be paid to households in the first five deciles of income, ie half of French households, according to Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. To be able to claim this fuel allowance, you must have an income less than or equal to the median standard of living, up to 22,040 euros per year, i.e. 1837 euros net per month.

Each exceptional energy

In detail, the energy check of 200 euros will be intended for the poorest 20% of households, while households in deciles 3 and 4, located between the poorest 20% and the wealthiest 60%, will receive 100 euros.

Each energy
