Clever refueling

The “Clever-Tanken” app has been a classic among many drivers for several years, not least because of its simplicity. Users only have to load and open the app, registration is not necessary. Then select the desired fuel and, if necessary, set a push notification if a certain desired price is offered at a gas station nearby. Also helpful: Artificial intelligence uses past price developments to calculate whether it is worth filling up right away or waiting a little longer. “Clever refueling” is for iOS and Android free of charge, if you want to get rid of the advertisements, you pay 1.99 euros per year.

Gas Price Blitz

The “Gasoline Price Flash” app is very simple: Download, share your location or zip code, and get gas prices displayed. More than 60,000 petrol stations are listed in the application, and other European countries such as France, Austria, Italy and Spain are also included in the app. Users can view the daily course of fuel prices and trace the development back up to four weeks. Users can also set up price notifications and have the petrol stations displayed on the map. “Benzinpreis-Blitz” is free for Android and iOSfor the ad-free version you have to pay 1.49 euros per year or 6.99 euros once.

Google Maps

Anyone who clicks on the gas pump icon on “Google Maps” will immediately see the current prices in their area. The cheapest price is highlighted in red and is therefore particularly noticeable. Another click is enough to be navigated to the gas station, provided that the location services are activated. Google also offers filter options for opening hours and distance. On the other hand, users have to do without statistics such as price developments or even forecasts. Google Maps comes preinstalled on Android devices and for iOS free.
