Fuels: the government announces the requisition of the Feyzin depot this Wednesday

This measure aims to relieve Burgundy-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, two regions strongly affected by the fuel shortage.

The Minister for Energy Transition Agnès Pannier-Runacher announced this Wednesday morning the requisition of the Feyzin fuel depot, in the Lyon metropolitan area, to deal with shortages at service stations.

This measure aims torelieve Burgundy-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes“, two of the three regions (with Ile-de-France) where there are still the most difficulties in service stations, indicated the minister on Franceinfo. “There are still three regions on which we will have to restore energy“, she said of these territories.

Those are “ten peoplewhich are requisitioned in Feyzin, specifies Agnès Pannier-Runacher. The fuels will be transported by train to Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, underlined the minister. His cabinet later clarified that the employees are requisitioned for this morning and this afternoon, “which will allow deliveries by trucks and trains all day long“.

Today, it is not necessary to requisition in Dunkirk for example, because the situation in Hauts-de-France has improved“said Agnès Pannier-Runacher. From 55% of stations in the region that lacked at least one product (petrol or diesel) at the height of the crisis, we have now fallen to less than 20%, according to the minister.
