Fujifilm Instax mini Link 3, a portable photo printer to share your emotions and memories

With the Instax family, Fujifilm has become the new champion of instant photography with cameras, but also small printers. It is in this last category that Fujifilm has just presented the Instax mini Link 3. As its name suggests, it succeeds the Instax mini Link and Link 2 that we appreciated during the test.

With this third version of the portable photo printer, Fujifilm does not revolutionize its concept and brings some welcome new features. Thus, the printer now offers the Bluetooth 5.1 communication protocol (compared to 4.2 on the previous version). But the most important remains the implementation of a universal USB-C connector for recharging the battery. Note that the latter allows the printing of a hundred photos.

For the rest, nothing changes. The Instax mini Link 3 allows you to print photos in mini format (film size 54 x 86 mm / image size 46 x 62 mm) in 15 seconds. From your smartphone, you will also be able to use the Instax mini Link application which offers many features to “improve” your images. Thus, theInstax Air Studio allows you to enhance your photos with superimposed elements and decorations. A new option Click to collage allows you to assemble multiple shots into a single print. In addition, it is now possible to print an image from a video.

Price and availability

Fujifilm’s instax mini Link 3 instant photo printer will be available at a recommended retail price of €129.99. It will be available in Europe from August 28, 2024.

A new movie “sprinkles”

In keeping with the effects achieved with the Instax AiR Studio feature, the film appears to be sprinkled with tiny dots of color, much like cakes, ice creams, or other sweets. The tiny silvery touches have a metallic sheen that accentuates the pattern, making the film both colorful and appealing. The film will also be available on August 28 for $9.99 for 10 prints.
