Fujifilm X Summit: the X-H2 with its 40 Mpx APS-C sensor finally revealed?

On September 8, 2022, Fujifilm will hold its end-of-year high mass, the X Summit. If the Japanese manufacturer does not say a word about potential announcements, the revelation of the APS-C X-H2 hybrid with a 40 Mpx sensor would be on the menu.

At the end of May 2022, Fujifilm presented its latest flagship: the X-H2S. A versatile case, as comfortable in photo as in video and perfect for action. Our tests have also highlighted the very good performance of the device.

The most defined APS-C sensor on the market

At the same time as this announcement, the Japanese company had explained that in September 2022 the X-H2 would be presented, during the more successful version of the X-H2S, because equipped with a 40 Mpx X-Trans Cmos sensor – the highest definition for a APS-C sensor at present. We know that the latter will nevertheless be non-stacked, not making the X-H2 a machine cut out for sport. However, it should adopt a design very close to the X-H2S.

An X Summit live from YouTube

Which brings us to the X Summit on September 8, live from New York. With our highly developed flair, we can’t help but think that Fuji will present the X-H2 as promised, and we wouldn’t mind a few extra lenses.
