Will buses and trains be overcrowded in the next three months? like dr Jan Schilling from the Association of Transport Companies announced that the number of ticket users is estimated at 30 million people per month (via: Bundestag.de).
According to a survey, the Rhein-Ruhr transport association alone expects around 2.5 to three million people to buy a ticket – half of all adults who do not yet have a ticket and one million regular customers whose subscription will be cheaper from May 23rd .
In tourist regions in particular, full transport must therefore be expected, says Dr. shilling.

9-euro ticket: Does the federal government have to “shoot in” more money?
Due to the massive rush, the federal government had to reckon with the fact that the initially provided 2.5 billion euros to cover the losses in public transport might ultimately not even be enough. According to the VDV, one must therefore be prepared to inject even more money.
dr Jan Schilling describes the 9-euro ticket as a “huge experiment with no international comparison”. The gain in knowledge would accordingly be “very large”.
