On Sunday afternoon there was a fire in a Vorsäß hut in Egg. The fire brigade had to go to the remote hut on snowmobiles.

Difficult mission for the Florianis on Sunday afternoon in the Bregenzerwald in Egg. A Vorsäßhütte caught fire in the Schwendetobel area. The flames quickly spread through the building. Since the hut is in the forest and there is no road leading there, the emergency services had to get to the hut with snowmobiles and a quad bike. When they got there, they discovered that the hut was already fully ablaze. The firefighters rescued a cat and a rabbit from the flames, but fortunately no one was injured. The hut is located near the Schetteregg ski area and is occupied by three ski area employees. The fire brigades managed to prevent the flames from spreading to the surrounding forest.
