Funeral of Antoine Alléno: Brigitte Macron and the cream of French chefs say goodbye to her

This Friday, May 13, the funeral of Antoine Alléno took place in the presence of Brigitte Macron. His father, Yannick Alléno, was supported by the world of gastronomy.

The world of cooking paid a last tribute to Antoine Alléno. This Friday, May 13, the funeral of the young cook of 24 years took place in the collegiate Notre-Dame de Poissy, in the Yvelines. A few days after the tragic disappearance of his son, Yannick Alléno was able to count on the support of his loved ones, his family but also that of the world of gastronomy and politics. As she had hinted, Brigitte Macron was indeed present to honor the memory of Antoine Alléno. All in dark clothes, the First Lady wanted to support Yannick Alléno in this terrible ordeal. At his side, several leaders had obviously made the trip, most of whom dressed in their characteristic white tunics.

  • Jean-François Piège was with his wife, Elodie
  • Christophe Michalak was present with his wife, Delphine
  • Alain Ducasse
  • Marc Veyrat
  • Guy Savoy and his partner Sonia Mabrouk
  • Babette of Rozieres
  • Frederic Anton

Shortly before the funeral of Antoine Alléno, Frédéric Anton also had reserved a particularly moving tribute to him on the Eiffel Tower. The chef of Jules Vernes, where the cook had worked a few years ago, had asked his team to hold signs that formed his first name. “A thought for you my dear Antoine, all your friends from Pré Catelan and Jules Verne will accompany you on this trip”, wrote Frédéric Anton on Instagram. Shocked by the death of his son, Yannick Alléno also took up the pen to honor the memory of the one who worked with him. “I’m proud of you! It’s crazy to look at your life and see your action! Everyone who has met that smile and that look remembers! This afternoon the whole world will come to greet you, I know you’ll be a little embarrassed but it’s the price of glory, of YOUR GLORY”wrote Yannick Alléno, sharing a photo of his son.

Yannick Alléno pays tribute to his “angel”

“Your brother Thomas, your big brother and I are going to build again and again, with you to guide us, with that high gaze you have from the heavens, even more beautiful things! We love you and mourn you with all our bodies Antoine Alleno! My angel, our beloved child, added the starred chef, who was therefore able to count on many supporters to say goodbye to Antoine Alléno. The 24-year-old young man died on Sunday May 8 in the heart of Paris, hit on a scooter by a driver who had just stolen a car from a chic restaurant. Arrested, the person in charge was remanded in custody and indicted for “homicide and involuntary injuries”. Known to the police, he tested positive for alcohol and narcotics.
