The funeral service for the late Rainer Schaller took place in Berlin on Thursday. Til Schweiger then found loving words.

In October, the private plane of McFit founder and former Loveparade boss Rainer Schaller (1969-2022) and his family crashed into the sea off the coast of Costa Rica. The funeral service for the entrepreneur took place in Berlin on Thursday. As numerous media reports unanimously, hundreds of guests attended the ceremony in front of the city monastery Segen in Berlin in rainy weather. Among them are actor Til Schweiger (58), former world boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko (46) and singers Alec Völkel (50) and Sascha Vollmer (51) from The BossHoss.

Til Schweiger, a longtime friend of Schaller, then posted a picture together on Instagram and wrote: “Rainer, my friend, today was a really beautiful, great funeral service – I know that you would have celebrated it!” There was a lot of crying, but that’s part of it. It was nice to see “how many people you touched, inspired and took with you”.

Alec Völkel comments on Til Schweiger’s contribution

Schweiger is infinitely proud of his friend: “What you have achieved in your short life cannot be put into words!” Schaller will “always be very deep” in his heart: “I’ll see you on the other side – and then give him!!!!”

Alec Völkel also commented on Til Schweiger’s contribution and wrote: “It was really nice, although difficult, to commemorate our friends together today.” Schaller and his family are “special people”: “We will keep them in our hearts.”
