Vivo has just announced the gradual deployment of Funtouch OS 13, its new overlay under Android 13. The Chinese firm took the opportunity to give some details about its in-house software.
Google’s new operating system is particularly focused on personalization. Funtouch OS is part of the Material You trend, and allows you to change the color of the icons and the interface to match the wallpaper. Only native applications seem to be affected. It is also possible to display the parameters in their monochrome version, for even more sobriety.
Vivo specifies that iManager allows even more extensive monitoring of the use of your smartphone. It will thus be possible to better monitor the heating (and in particular the frequency of the processor) or the time spent on the screen. A feature to close the most energy-consuming applications with one click is also available.
We also benefit from a new video editor, which makes it easy to mute the sound, or to make volume adjustments at specific times. A feature obviously designed for popular social networks like TikTok.
In photography, we benefit from better stabilization symbolized by a ring in the focus area. There are also more editing options.
In terms of security, Funtouch OS 13 makes it easier to pin the applications used so as not to be disturbed while using them. It is also possible to hide certain photos via the Gallery mode options.
The Chinese firm has already revealed the beta launch dates for its Vivo and IQUOO brands. Stable releases should follow soon. It is however the calendar for India. We can therefore add a good month to see it land in France. The brand has confirmed to us that the X80 Pro should be entitled to it during the month of November while the other models will be able to take advantage of it in December and at the beginning of next year.
