Three people died of opioid cocaine at a drug party, including comedian Fuquan Johnson. A colleague survived.

Three people died of a cocaine overdose at a party in Los Angeles over the weekend. Like the American gossip site “TMZ” reports, the drug was mixed with the opioid fentanyl. Among the dead is comedian Fuquan Johnson. He was only 42 years old. Two other party guests, Enrico Colangeli (48) and Natalie Williamson (33), are also said to have died on site. Comedian Kate Quigley, 39, was hospitalized and survived.

Fuquan Johnson was a comedian and writer active on the Los Angeles stand-up comedy scene. Enrico Colangeli worked with Johnson at the HaHa Comedy Club. Nicole Williamson was a friend of Kate Quigley’s.

Kate Quigley survived

According to the report, police were called to a house in Venice Beach on the night of September 4-5. There she is said to have found four people who were dead or unconscious. Three people died on the spot, one, Kate Quigley, was rushed to hospital.

The 39-year-old, who works as a comedian, presenter and model, survived the alleged overdose. “I’m alive. I’m not doing very well. But I’m okay,” she wrote from the hospital to a friend who made the good news public.

This is the dangerous drug fentanyl

Fentanyl is a synthetically produced opioid that is used as a pain reliever and is about 100 times more potent than morphine. Fentanyl is said to have played a role in the deaths of Prince (1958-2016), Tom Petty (1950-2017) and Mac Miller (1992-2018).
