French action series have now become the specialty at Netflix. After Pax Massilia by Olivier Marchal which was released last December, and Braqueur, the series created by Julien Leclercq and Hamid Hlioua, the American platform will put the Furies series online on March 1, which this time slips into the twists and turns of the Parisian underworld.

Created by Yoann Legave and Jean-Yves Arnaud, a duo who previously worked on Kepler(s), the fiction is revealed in a first trailer which is heavy.

For the occasion, Marina Fois slips into the shoes of Furie, a woman responsible for bringing peace between the 6 families who control Parisian organized crime. A role that is the polar opposite of what the actress, who started in the “Robins of the Woods” troupe, had accustomed us to.

Originally, seven Families ruled the Parisian underworld. But one of them – the Arago – was decimated by the six others who were fiercely jealous of it. On that fateful day in 1928, when the family married their daughter in a joyous atmosphere, the festivities ended in a bloodbath.

The only survivor of the massacre, the bride, immediately widowed, demanded revenge, then renounced her place within Olympus to guarantee her independence and exercise a form of justice in the community. This is how the first Fury was born – a charge passed down from mother to daughter. Since that time, there has never been a war between the Families. Till today…

In Furies, Marina Fois shares the poster with Lina El Arabi, whom Netflix subscribers previously saw in Family Business where she played the character of Aïda. The two women will opposite Mathieu Kassovitz (Le Bureau des Légendes), Jérémy Nadeau (Coeurs Noirs), Steve Tientcheu (Bâtiment 5), Quentin Faure (Les invisibles), Sandor Funtek (Suprêmes, Notre Dame, La part du feu) and Eye Haïdara (Brillantes).

See you on March 1 on Netflix to discover season 1 of Furies
