FuRyu will announce PROJECT-TRITRI, an action-RPG with great references

The project’s teaser site and this PowerPoint in the form of a confidential presentation reveal that this title is an action-RPG developed on PS5, PS4 and Switch for a release this summer in Japan. Playable up to three, it is presented as a tribute to the classic RPGs of the 90s and is therefore intended to be carried by a surge of nostalgia but also of modernity. The story will apparently revolve around Cyan, a young man who lived peacefully in his small village until the day he learns that he is a “Warrior of Chaos” chosen by the Gods of the same name, who oppose the Gods of the Order for world control.

FuRyu obliges, it is clearly not necessary to imagine a big production which will make the big names of the genre tremble, especially since the game is developed by the Three Rings studio, whose biggest titles known to date are Story of Seasons : Pioneers of Olive Town and One Piece: Romance Dawn. FuRyu nevertheless succeeds in his teasing by announcing the participation of Nobuteru Yûki in world design (Escaflowne, Trials of Mana, Chrono Cross), of Raita Kazama in character design (Phantasy Star Online, Xenoblade Chronicles, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia), of Yûra Kubota for the screenplay (Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default II) and Hiroki Kikuta for the music (Secret of Mana, Koudelka, Indivisible).

A trio of Pokémon artists (Atsuko Nishida, Tomohiro Kitakaze, Megumi Mizutani) are also mentioned in the design of allied creatures whose names will be revealed later. The domerica animation studio, which notably produced the cutscenes for most Persona games, completes this list of references. PROJECT-TRITRI will be unveiled on May 26.
