Flick’s sentences that shake Bavaria
It is no surprise that Hansi Flick wants to leave FC Bayern. The fact that the coach announced his decision directly after the 3-2 victory at VfL Wolfsburg, which is likely to be decisive for the championship, in a single effort outside of a press conference comes as a complete surprise.
The most important statements of Flicks from the conversation with the TV station “Sky”:

Flick also specified when exactly he announced his serious decision to his players: “I knew that this would be a very difficult game for us today. After those responsible, above all CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, had recently repeatedly called for harmony among those responsible – above all between the long-term clinching Flick and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic – Flick is now apparently worn down by the arguments that have been smoldering for months with the record champions. But Flick did not (yet) want to speak publicly about the reasons for his decision to leave the club: “These are things that I discussed internally with those responsible.” Salihamidzic and Flick argued for a long time internally and recently also publicly about which players were brought in and who had how much say in the transfers. Even after the final whistle on Saturday, Salihamidzic had to follow his coach to the bench at VfL Wolfsburg to congratulate him on one of the most important victories of the season.
Flick also left it open whether his path to the DFB, directly into the office of national coach, would lead him: “The future is not at all clear. Of course the DFB is an option that every coach has to consider. But I have to digest everything now The last few weeks weren’t easy either. That’s why the process of telling the club and the team was extremely important for me today. ” Flick is considered the top favorite and preferred candidate of the DFB to succeed Joachim Löw, who is leaving after the European Championship. Flick was his assistant until after the World Cup title in 2014, later Flick was also the sports director of the association.
